Progress Pushers presents
The Empowerment Initiative
Our focus is not telling them what we see in them but assisting them to look inward, tap into and bring out their inner brilliance. We understand our youth (focus 12-24) have what it takes to be the leaders we need in our communities and their power as influencers for younger generations and peers is immeasurable.
We identify the needs and strengths of each youth and then address barriers to accessing resources and services, working collaboratively with other agencies to meet each young peoples unique needs including: Information and Referral, Coordination of services, Support, Advocacy, Empowerment and routine Follow up.
What people are saying...
“There is something to be said about getting advice and mentorship from people that have lived their experiences, because there’s a level of knowledge and understanding that we as staff just can’t have but would love to support, so the partnership has been really successful."
"I have witnessed firsthand the work of Progress Pushers to build educational and life skills, job training, community engagement and capacity building of young people in a way that empowers them to achieve greatness."
Jesse Johnson
Federal Way Council Member
"I really believe in the work they’re doing. “I think our juvenile and adult criminal justice system needs a lot of reform and they are part of that process.”
